Vote for Aissatou Diallo's project

Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world.” Education is the light of life. It makes people social and civilized. It gives us knowledge, skills and techniques to apply in our practical field. It gives us ideas to find out the right and wrong, good and bad. Girls and Boys have not the same equal right in getting education because of the discrimination between boys and girls. Poverty is also another reason why many girls get’s married earlier instead of pursuing their dreams. The number of girls nearly makes half of the human population. Now this is an issue that needs to be taken care of because to leave the girls uneducated means to make half of the people uneducated. Girls of today are the mothers of tomorrow. It is said mother is the first teacher and home is the first school of a child. As a girl that belongs to a culture where girls are believed to only get married and make children, as a girl that lives with her uneducated parents, I know how the children of an uneducated mother feels like. I want to create a program to teach mothers and fathers to stop forcing their girls to get married younger, to help their girls pursuit their dreams because one day those girls will become something in life and may change their lives for good. I want to create a fundraising project to help the poor families in supporting their girls education. If women remain uneducated, unskilled or ignorant, how can we develop our society? It is necessary to educate girls because If they get chance, they can do as good as men. Therefore, for the development of a country, girls education should be given a good priority.
