Empowering women has always be important to me, especially with a woman running as President for the United States in 2016. Education has also always been an important part of my life, as my Dad is a teacher and it is a field that I am interested in pursuing. I believe it is very important for girls to feel empowered, and one of the best ways to do this is through education. Not just your typical education though. The problem I would like to solve is women being behind in their formal education as well as the knowledge of self. I would like to go to any country where girls are considered the "inferior", and give lessons in the core subjects like English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I would also like to give them personal life lessons such as how to care for themselves, lessons on self-worth and value, and how to rise above the standards that are set for girls today. I have many life lessons to offer from my personal experience and the things I've been through. I would like to be able to help the girls do something good in their community, such as do something that makes their living space more beautiful, provide clean water for their fellow citizens, or help them do something for someone else that may be less fortunate in their community. So while I would be educating them, I would also be able to show them the value of community and giving. I would love to be able to change a girl's life, whether I change one or one hundred. If I was given the opportunity to do this, it would forward my goal to empower women and educate.
